The Mount Catherine Loop at the Snoqualmie Summit is a popular 10-mile winter/spring ski tour. From the Hyak Parking lot ascend the Cold Creek trail groomed in the winter months becomes a road connecting to the Pacific Crest Trail in the summer. Gain views of neighboring Tinkham and Abeil Peaks. Continue up to the highpoint of the loop at the base of Silver Mountain. There are back-country ski routes from here. Looping back on the Mount Catherine trail ascends above an oxbow in I90 far below with views of Granite and Guye Peaks. Ascend to the Grand Junction area at the Nordic center. Shred down Creek run to the base of the East Peak chair to finish directly back at the parking lot.
