Tucked between the long lake Keechelus and Little Kachess Lakes Mt Amabilis rises to form a clear ridge line above Interstate 90 with views of Mount Rainier and the central Cascades.

Beginning from the Cabin creek parking lot from I 90 be sure to display your snow parks pass with groomed trail stamp.  Carry skis over I 90 to the east side Cabin Creek snow park.  Ski the flat road trail for approx. 1 kilometer before turning right to ascend a switch backing logging road.  Continue climbing eventually gaining views on an open ridge.  Find the loop point and ascend to the left or right.  The trail becomes steeper at times with a more back country feeling at the high point.  Congratulations, you have earned a long gliding decent back down to the parking lot.
