Replacing the classic Hog Loppet with a new format in the Moose Loppet aspires to be the new standard cross-country trek event in the Leavenworth Area.In the Lake Wenatchee Fish Lake snow park the course winds along the Chiwawa river through forested trails as it slowly begins to climb more steeply. Views open up across the Cascades to meadows below and peaks in the distance.Well equipped with multiple aid stations for recharging before the long decent at the half-way point.This lollypop loop finishes back at the start. The course sheltered from high-winds and avalanche danger is a welcome new tradition to NW Nordic skiing.
